We are glad to see the response to the Tales of Hearts: Translator’s Cut demo patch! Finding it wasn’t intended to be rocket science, but apparently it might as well have been for a number of you!
The following infographic should give an idea of the distribution of ability amongst commenters:
(Keep in mind that this only accounts for people who left comments, not for lurkers of the site.)
Congratulations to those of you who found the patch simply by reading the post! If I were to assign letter grades, you would get an A. Those who found the link via other means via creative thinking get a B for achieving an excellent end result but being unable to demonstrate basic reading ability of the sort needed to enjoy the patch. Don’t worry, there’s still plenty time to improve before the final patch is released! Those who couldn’t find it, or could only find it with the help of people who got B’s, get a C for effort. Hey, at least you tried! It’s the thought that counts. Finally, those who complained about how this was nothing but another trollpost and/or bemoaned the supposed impossibility of finding the link via legitimate means get an F. It happens to the best of us; better luck next time ๐
I’ll also assign the guys I’m not sure about an average of B+/A- just to give them the benefit of the doubt. Converting to a GPA scale, this means that the class average was 2.79, or a B-. I suppose this means the difficulty of the site is roughly on-target? Unfortunately, no one has managed thus far to earn an A+, as you can see from the infographic, but I would certainly be curious as to whether anyone can do so. ๐
Well, that’s all for now. For those of you with Vitas and Japanese PSN accounts, please do let the rest of us know how Tales of Hearts: Reimagination is once it comes out in March. And remember, we <3 you. Until next time!

Jades’s higher ohgees? just translate “ohgee” as ” higher ohgee” and we have it.
For final release you might want to think a bit about it. Maybe change the extension of the file and gave a hint what extension it should be would force them to read the whole post :b.

I’d see non-j/k topic. You’ll updated new patch in March?
Shing, Amber and Jadeite in patch! Removed L&R button name change (Kohak or Amber, etc.) in start.

I found the patch right away by reading *beaming with superficial pride*, but like someone posted above, have not had a chance to actually try it out yet.
Either way, I hope you keep up the good work and eventually finish your translation. =^.^=

little note: was testing on my SuperCard DsOneI and apparently the Vram is charged too much, I’ve got huge slowdown compared to the original and some graphical glitches (only in battle though) not sure if it’s my cartridge cause the original is fine…

I thought you were kidding about the patch but didn’t bother to complain about the trolling.

Honestly speaking, I thought the average for your commenters would be a lot lower.

Is it just me, or is there now a big R on the banner on the top?
anyway, I played the patch, and you did a really good job Kaji, I bow in honor to your greatness.

What about the people who didn’t find the patch because they didn’t want to play a demo?
March 5, 2013 at 9:40 pm | Permalink
because is not worth it if only a very small portion that can be played
better wait for full patch

Are you as verbose IRL as you are in these blog posts? Did you ever think that maybe your writing isn’t as entertaining as you think it is? The fact that so many people barely even read your blog posts should be a pretty big hint.

No, I didnt find the link – but then again English is my third language.
I’m, after all, Swedish. Anyway, I do start to wonder if this project is a joke or not. In some sense I doubt this project will ever get released.
With that said, I got my pre-order for Tales of Xillia to ps3 anyway ๐

@Raxtoren
People has been saying Graces is better than Xillia, but I don’t really know. I don’t really base my value on other people’s value. I also preordered my Xillia, can’t wait for it ๐

i still don’t understand why they didn’t localize vesperia
it’s the best modern tales so far, from story to gameplay
now playing toh-r, they seemed lazy to remake this as per cutscene variable AR from 16:9 to 4:3
March 16, 2013 at 11:54 pm | Permalink
They did localize Vesperia. ๐

I think he means ps3 vesperia.

yeah just the title of the post <_<

Excuse me Charles Dickens, I came here to get the patch not to read a novel. I give the unnecessary wall of text of the previous post a B for boring.

I first refused to read ๐ because I take no orders and tried to find a more creative way to find it. I failed to find a creative way and therefore read the article later on and found it then….. I would grade those an A who found the Patch other than following orders. I think its more of a challenge to do your own thing rather than following orders.

hey kaji! did you hear? HEARTS R IS GETTING LOCALISED!
they said that it and innocence R are being brought to the US! And they have the original games bundled as an extra! they said they will use the fan translation for the old games, so they told me to ask you to get a move on and keep up the good work!
oh something else they said but they spelt it in an anagram: oslof plrai.
